The Springfield Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) is the hub for all things travel and tourism in Springfield, Missouri. They work to make the Springfield community a better place by growing the region’s visitor and hospitality industry.
In late 2020 the Springfield Convention & Visitors Bureau came to us needing a statewide ad campaign that could show people how they could visit Springfield safely by taking advantage of all the outdoor adventures offered here. The success of that campaign brought about two new campaigns in the subsequent years.
The first was the “Give Yourself a Weekend” campaign which highlighted all the unique experiences Springfield has to offer and showed visitors how they could have a whole vacation’s worth of fun and adventure in a weekend.
We followed that with the “Ask a Local” campaign which centered around the idea that when traveling, the locals are the ones who know the city best and are in the know of all the best restaurants, outdoor activities, shops, and bars in town. In a friendly city like Springfield, Missouri, all you have to do is ask the locals to guide you from place to place.
With each campaign our objective was to break the mold of traditional travel and tourism advertising. We turned our focus from showing what there is to do in Springfield to showing how people feel and what their experience is like when they visit Springfield.
