Springfield Black Tie is a nonprofit organization that hosts SW Missouri’s premier annual fundraising gala benefiting the LGBTQ+ community. Known as “The Springfield Black Tie Gala,” this event is dedicated to raising funds for local and state-wide LGBTQ+ charities. Since its inception in 2003, Black Tie has raised over $1.75 million for LGBTQ+ organizations in the Ozarks, with $250,000 being raised for 14 organizations in 2023 alone.
Past beneficiaries of the event include PFLAG Springfield/SWMO, the GLO Center, the AIDS Project of the Ozarks, and other local 501(C)3) charities.
Each video was designed to inspire community support for those at the event and raise awareness about the ongoing needs of LGBTQ+ charities across the Ozarks.
Revel was tasked with boosting the impact of the 2023 Black Tie gala by producing videos for the event and potential supporters. To do this, we filmed key moments at Springfield’s Pridefest and interviewed leaders from Black Tie’s beneficiary organizations.
We used this footage to create a series of promotional videos highlighting the important work Black Tie does in our community.
Revel was awarded a Silver Addy for our work, and the event raised $250,000 to support 14 local and state-wide charities serving the LGBTQ+ community.
