Community Blood Center of the Ozarks (CBCO) serves as the sole supplier of blood and blood-related supplies to more than 40 medical facilities across a 40-county region encompassing Southwest Missouri, Northwest Arkansas, and Southeast Kansas. This area necessitates over 50,000 annual blood donations to fulfill the transfusion requirements of its residents. Their mission is committed to accomplishing this objective promptly, at a reasonable cost, and maintaining transparency and responsibility towards the local community, blood donors, and healthcare providers. When CBCO approached us, their primary requirement was to inform the public about the distinctions between donating blood with a local blood bank, such as CBCO, and donating blood to other nationwide blood donation organizations.
Recognizing that a video series would be the most effective means of achieving their objective, we opted for this approach. Through this video series, we were able to highlight the local influence CBCO has on patients in need of blood, primarily through testimonials. We produced the video series by involving local talent and incorporating animation to vividly illustrate the significant impact that can result from an individual’s blood donations.
