Hill City Church is expanding its mission by planting a new church in Corvallis, Oregon. As a mid to large-sized church with deep roots in Springfield, MO, Hill City is dedicated to sharing the Gospel and fostering a community that is for the city. With this new church plant, they wanted a fresh, distinct identity that still maintained a strong connection to the Hill City Springfield branding.

Hill City approached us with the need for a new brand identity that would represent their Corvallis location while staying connected to the Springfield church. We took inspiration from the local area, its culture, and Hill City’s mission to create a brand that embodies the heart of Corvallis while remaining deeply rooted in Hill City’s values and vision.

Through a discovery session, we refined the essence of Hill City Corvallis, ensuring the brand is welcoming, authentic, and aligned with the broader mission of Hill City. The resulting logo visually ties back to the Springfield location while incorporating unique elements that reflect the identity of Corvallis.

The brand is designed to be adaptable, ensuring that as the church grows, its identity remains strong and relevant. The completed style guide provides clear guidelines for maintaining brand consistency across all platforms. It defines core elements such as logos and typography while incorporating secondary elements like the spirit beaver and alternate logos, which add character to the identity. Additionally, graphic elements like topography reflect the area’s outdoorsy nature, with cleaner lines that differentiate it from the hand-drawn aesthetic of the Hill City Springfield brand, ensuring a look and feel that aligns with Hill City Corvallis.
